A clandestine unit formed in 1973, the Selous Scouts operated within and beyond Rhodesia during the Bush War. Specialising in unconventional warfare, they infiltrated insurgent groups, conducted sabotage, and gathered intelligence. Despite their effectiveness, the Scouts faced criticism for brutal tactics and controversial operations. The unit was disbanded in 1980 following the country's transition to Zimbabwe.
